The First is a Computerize, Radar driven, vehicle discharge system
that monitors the rate of water discharged through the discharge system at a given travel
speed, which in turn amounts to water per square foot on the ground. This is done
regardless of travel speed or the amount of heads open at on time. Before starting to
spray the operator begins by programming the number of spray heads open and the rate of
discharge of water on the ground, the computer does the rest by varying the amount of flow
throughout the discharge piping, as the ground speed increases a signal is sent from the
radar to the processor the opens a discharge valve that increases the flow to the spray
heads. This system is best run with a constant speed water pump system.
The Second is a Computerized flow driven, vehicle discharge system, this
system monitors the rate of flow through the discharge system, then sends a signal to a
processor which in turn opens or closes a hydraulic valve to speed up the hydraulic flow
to the water pump motor which in turn increases flow or decreases flow out the spray heads
keeping constant the rate of water discharge at a given speed.
